Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists are Registered Nurses who have received two years of specialty training in Anesthesia. In addition, they must pass a comprehensive examination to become certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist.

The Shea Ear Clinic Surgery Center is proud of our association with Mr. John Christopher Connell, CRNA.  Chris was born in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in eastern North Carolina. He earned his BSN from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. He then completed his anesthesia training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee and began practicing anesthesia in Memphis in 1993. Since then he has provided tens of thousands of safe anesthetics of all types. He is proud to provide safe, quality anesthesia to the surgical patients of the Shea Ear Clinic. Chris is board certified and has been a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) since 1993.  Chris joined the Shea Ear Clinic in 2011.
