Brow Lift
With the passage of time our brows tend to fall, and we can develop wrinkles on our forehead. Because everyone’s anatomy is so different, the approach to lifting the brow is individualized in each patient and can range from making an incision across the top of the head to only making a couple of small incisions behind the hair line and using surgical telescopes (called endoscopes) to elevate the brows. We can also smooth the skin of the forehead by dividing some of the muscles on the forehead and between the eyebrows. This can smooth the skin significantly.

FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) about browlift.

How do I know whether I need a browlift, a blepharoplasty, or both?

In women, the eyebrow should be above the level of the bony brow (medically called the supraorbital ridge).  Plucking can shape the brow, but surgery is needed to actually reposition it.  We will examine you and tell you whether would benefit from a browlift.

I have a high (or low)  forehead, will this affect my surgery?

Yes, it may affect our recommendation as to the best technique of browplasty.  We will discuss this with you at the consultation.
